Armrest Hang on Aerial Hoop is a skill that is part of an exit for many more advanced lyra skills. We like teaching it as its own stand alone skill because it allows for some great leg shapes and making this shape familiar and fun makes exiting the more advanced skills less daunting.
Armrest Hang is also a great way to introduce students to supporting weight in the arm pit as well as supporting weight in the spanset or rope.
Students love the shape because it is fun and easy and teachers love the skill for all of the great concepts it introduces.
