A Knee Hook Layback with a Shin Block is an exciting and dramatic upside down layback shape on the aerial hoop. The shin block creates a strong foundation to stabilize the hoop and really brings the spotlight to the final shape.

We teach this skill to our intermediate level aerial hoop students. It’s very similar to Knee Hook Layback: Foot Flag. We often introduce this shin block variation first as we feel it is more stable.
