The Star to Lady in the Moon leg calibration on Aerial Hoop is simply the reverse of the calibration from Lady in the Moon into Star. The Lady in the moon to star direction, is typically the first leg calibration we teach and one of the easiest. Reversing it to go fro star back to lady in the moon is much harder and is not likely to be beginner friendly. This leg calibration is great for teaching the value of rolling onto the outer thigh. When the outer thigh is the only part of the body sitting on the hoop the hoop is very mobile and it will be much easier to move the hoop where we want it.
One thing that sometimes confuses students, especially if leg control is a new idea, is the steps to do this calibration are more complicated and nuanced than other ways to get between the two shapes. So this isn’t easier, but it is smarter and very valuable for making skills look magical and effortless.
