We refer to a Dancer Wrap as a wrap around the lower leg where the live end of the fabric is in the middle of the body and the tail is falling down the inside edge of the foot. Two dancer wraps can lead a Dancer Footlocks and other skills like interesting entrances to crossback straddle and more, and Three Dancer Wraps can lead to a variety of interesting skills as well.
We teach Dancer Wraps on two legs after our students are comfortable with Dancer Wraps on one leg. This video covers the technique to get two or three dancer wraps cleanly on the legs, to set up an aerialist for the skills that come after. We teach this skill at the end of our beginner level aerial classes and intermediate and advanced level students continue to use it and build on it in later levels.
