S wrap splits is a fun and simple skill for students who are just learning how to put on and take off an s-wrap. This video shows the shoofly fake meathook entry to s-wrap, but any entry to S wrap works.
There are different ways to express this position and this video goes over the basics we cover when we teach it at first. Having simple skills like this that allow students to focus on practicing putting on and taking off new supports are valuable for class planning purposes. Before introducing more complex skills like Wheeldown that start from an S wrap, we always teach simpler variations like this until students know their supports inside and out.
