The dancer wrap entry to Same Side Wrap is not only a nice alternative to using a flamenco grip, but it also has different variations and many steps that we take to progress it. This entry is sometimes called the Step Through Entry to Same Side Wrap. This video shows the key points and first progressions that we teach our students when they learn this unique and surprising entrance.

Same Side Wrap is also sometimes called Catcher’s Wrap. This entry using a Dancer Wrap requires a strong Bent Arm Straddle Up: In the Air and we teach it after our students have mastered easier entries. This entry can be used to set up skills like Peter Pan, Single Star Drop, Same Side Gazelle, and many more. This entry is similar to the Dancer Entry to S Wrap as well.
