Straddle Switches on Aerial Silks are a way to use momentum pathways to go from a straddle up on one side of the fabric, to a straddle up on the other side of the fabric. We teach these to our advanced level students once they have comfortable bent arm straddle ups in the air, controlled straight arm straddle up negatives, and a great sense of body awareness in space.

When training momentum skills it’s important to have the strength to protect the body from the forces that momentum places on it. In this tutorial video we cover important pre-requisites, progressions that we use to teach the pathway, and drills to use for troubleshooting.
