The Lotus Climb to Thigh Hitch Sequence is a fairly quick and satisfying aerial sling combo with lots of opportunity for expression. This sequence transitions between two more complicated aerial sling skills, and it adds some unique poses and supports to the transition in the middle. This sequence also starts and ends in a Half Catchers support, which is a common support on aerial sling with a lot of places that it can lead to, so it’s really easy to combo this sequence with other skills to build a longer sequence. When we teach this sequence to our aerial sling students, we guide them to make it their own by finding unique shapes with their supports, and by adding skills of their choice to the beginning and the end of the sequence.
