Seated Leg Lifts on Aerial Hoop are a quick way to build up core strength while still being very accessible even for beginners. We teach two variations of leg lifts, one from a basic seated position and the other from sitting on the round part of the glutes. Just because they are accessible to beginners doesn’t mean they won’t be challenging for advanced students, especially if they are working their end range of motion.
While these are a great way to fire up the core, hips, and legs, they can create a lot of friction and rubbing on the skin of the seat, so we usually prefer to do fewer but repeat them regularly, especially when working on skills with a similar leg pathway.
