The Hip Hop Melt Backbendy Sequence on aerial sling combines active backbending skills with active hollow body skills in the air. Like so many of our sequences on sling, this one can be done infinitely or it can be run through once. In our aerial sling classes, we use this sequence as a teaching sequence to work on strengthening active backbends and active inversions. Some of our aerial sling students like to use this sequence for performances as well, to show off grace, fluidity, balance, and extension. This creative aerial sling sequence is ripe for exploration, so once it makes sense to our aerial sling students we encourage them to play with it more and see where it might lead them next.
