The Skin the Cat Airplane is a magical shape on aerial sling and it leads to a lot of really fun transitions and combos. In our aerial sling classes we teach this to our intermediate level students after they have experience moving around in easier skills within the Catchers Wrap on sling. We also wait to teach this until our students have started working on their tuck up inversions because there is a challenging inversion moment in this skill.
