Lever leg is a concept that students use throughout their aerial silks training, in all sorts of skills from beginner through advanced. We introduce it to our beginner level students with this Gazelle Lever Leg skill. We also use this skill as a drill for our intermediate level students when they begin learning inverted climbs like Opposite Side Climb, because getting an efficient lever leg helps an aerialist move efficiently through the air to gain height from a knee hook support.
Lever Leg teaches students to move efficiently, and gazelle is a great place to begin learning it from. This skill also helps students get better at their hollow body and develop more strength in their hamstrings and glutes to help with a variety of knee hook supported skills.
