Hand Height Drill is something that we actually use a lot more than we ever thought would be necessary, but it has been helpful for a good number of students. As an experienced aerialist, understanding how hand height affects balance, stability, and support may seem unnecessarily obvious, but sometimes we can forget what it is like to be an absolute beginner.

This drill can be made fun and silly, or serious depending on the goals of the class. We use it to help beginner students understand how leaving their hands too low when they step up into a footlock, or step up onto a fabric knot, affects their stability.
