L-Sit on Aerial Hoop is a quick, simple, beginner skill that presents a lot of great fundamental concepts. This skill teaches good grip habits, sliding on the hoop, shoulder stability, and pressing out through the legs into the support. We usually wait to teach this skill after students have had some time to build up grip strength and tolerance.

Don’t forget that this can be a very challenging skill for students grip strength and grip tolerance. With practice everything about this skill will get easier and eventually the skill becomes more of a transition shape than a final pose.
