This excerpt from one of our full length classes is for strengthening active straddles. These variations on fire hydrants will have you working your lower abdominals, deep hip rotators, and thigh muscles. These drills are especially useful for strong, clean straddles in wheeldowns, hip keys, and other skills that involve straddling against gravity. They’re harder than they look, and make a great addition to an aerial conditioning program.
