This resistance band drill for the ankle is useful for teaching students how to resist the pressure of the silks in a footlock. It’s especially useful to revisit as students begin learning skills that involve wrapping the fabric up the leg above a footlock, for example skills like Candy Cane Roll-Up or Crossback Straddle. This is a great strengthening drill that can be used as conditioning or pre-hab for strong ankles to help avoid ankle sprains. You will need a resistance band for this drill.
