This is a ground drill we often include in our aerial warm-ups. It fires the muscles deep in the shoulders that help with external shoulder rotation, and it targets them as the arms come overhead. Learning to externally rotate the shoulders as the arms come overhead is key to a safe hanging position on any aerial apparatus. This drill is simple, quick, and effective so it makes a great addition to any aerial warm-up.
