There are many ways to practice a side plank position, and this video focuses on the cuing that we use to help with core engagement that will be useful for aerial work.

In this drill we cue shoulder action and core action. This video shows an easier variation with the knees down and the full variation with the legs straight.

This is a great drill to add to an aerial warm-up to get the shoulders and the side abdominal and side bending muscles activated and connected.
