The Dancer Mount Split to Single Knee Hang On The Side is a sequence we created to incorporate the Single Knee Hang on the Side of the Hoop in a sequence and to do some splits conditioning. Since the Single Knee Hang on the Side of the Hoop is a fairly complicated and intimidating skill, we wanted to make a sequence that is relatively easy but still interesting.
The Dancer Mount Split is a slightly awkward first skill, but there is a reason and purpose behind it. When we created this sequence, we had a student who requested a sequence that would also help them improve their splits. So this sequence provides a splits conditioning opportunity that isn’t too complex or tiring and satisfies the need to incorporate the Single Knee Hang on the Side of the Hoop.
