There are many ways into a Half Hip Hang on Aerial Hoop. Because of this extra strength and skill requirement we consider these entrances more difficult, however we don’t have a strict rule about which entrances to learn first.
A half hip hang can create a lot of intense sensations on the inner thigh and groin area and we encourage students to try a variety of entrances until they find one they like best. So long as a student has the prerequisite strength to do a pullover or is already familiar with the starting position, it is totally OK to learn one of these entrances first.
