The Inverted Splits to Straddle Back Balance Sequence is a fun intermediate level sequence that mostly stays inside the hoop. The sequence is fairly straightforward performative choreography, with the focus more on clean and stylized transitions and less on strength and flexibility. The sequence doesn’t require inversion strength except for one transition that also utilizes a stylized foot tag to help invert.
The Inverted Splits to Straddle Back Balance Sequence is the first half of a longer sequence. It connects directly to the Twisted Scissor to Front Balance Bird’s Nest Sequence. We broke it up into two sequences for our library. You can work on them as two separate sequences or combine them together into a single full length performance. Connecting both sequences will challenge students’ movement memory and endurance.
