The Knee Hook Press Split on Aerial Hoop is a gorgeous skill that usually looks awesome on everyone. This skill is easier for more flexible students, but it is accessible for less flexible bodies. We teach two different entrances to this skill. This tutorial will cover the entrance with the leg moving inside the arms. In addition to the entrance, this video will cover several progressions we use to teach the skill.
We also teach a variation we call Knee Hook Press Splits: Outside where the leg doesn’t need to fit between the arms. Rather it fan kicks on the outside of the arms. We now give our students the option to learn either version first, but we eventually encourage them to be able to do both versions.
