The SIngle Glute Straddle to Half Mill Circle Sequence on Aerial Hoop is a delightful and elegant beginner friendly performance sequence. This sequence comes from one of our student Show Off nights in our studio. Our Show Off Nights are a low stress and low risk opportunity for new students to show friends and family what they have been learning in class.

For these events we encourage our students to select their favorite skills and connect them together in a way they feel works best for them. We are there to guide them and keep them safe, but we try to leave space for them to make as many of their own artistic decisions as possible.

This particular sequence comes from an adult student who wanted to show off elegant movement and confident control. We think she did a great job and her family was so impressed. In this demo, I have removed many of our student’s own personal flourishes and style to leave room for you to create your own.

All of the skills in the sequence are beginner friendly. Each skill won’t be difficult, but building the endurance to get through the whole sequence is a good challenge for beginner students. As always, we encourage students to be familiar with all of the skills in isolation first so that they can spend more time and energy on the transitions and artistic style.
