Trapped Lever Splits On Aerial Hoop is a skill we called Uncomfortable Sweater for a long time. We aren’t sure where the name came from, but we wanted to change the name because the skill shouldn’t be uncomfortable. In fact, if it is uncomfortable it probably means there is something slightly wrong in the set up or leg alignment.

This tutorial will cover the most common entrance we teach and three common exits. Some of the listed building blocks are for specific exits. We always introduce this skill with a long set of progressions. Breaking down different steps and trouble shooting details depending on where students are struggling. While the skill should not be uncomfortable, learning the details to make it comfortable will likely take a lot of practice. This all means we work in small chunks at a time and it often takes at least a couple of classes to get through this skill.
