Basic Climb: Pull-Up Variation is a variation of basic climb that we use for conditioning and to build awareness of how much students are doing or not doing with a pull-up when they climb.
We teach this in beginner level classes and come back to it at intermediate and advanced level as part of conditioning sets. With this climb all of the height is gained through a pull up only, there’s no leg lift required. Mastering this helps students with almost any skill on aerial silks, by getting that pull up really strong. It is also a pre-requisite for more challenging variations like Pretty V climb and Arm Only climb.
