Basic Climb Through the Middle is variation of basic climb that lends itself to creation and choreography. We teach it in our beginner level classes after students have mastered their basic climbs and are comfortable with lock-offs and pull-ups. This climb has a twisty look and we often use it as a transition as well as a climb.
Beginners can be challenged by this climb at first but at an intermediate level students find that it leads to a lot of interesting transitions that they use in choreography. It can be used as a climb but it can also be used simply as a transtion, and when the fabrics fall away nicely the aerialist is free to move onto any skill that initates from the fabric tails being held apart.
