Elevator Seat is a silly and fun drill that we teach in beginner classes. It gets students started thinking about different ways that the fabric can support them. It is silly and playful but can also be used to cue core engagement.
This skill builds on Hollow Body Seat and it can be done with a swing or even a spin added to it. Beginner students are often surprised at how easily skills like this allow us to create supports that hold our body weight. It gets them excited about learning more about aerial silk supports.
