Exploring the supports in various climbs in an exercise that we often give to our students at any level. In this video I’m exploring the supports in four different types of climb, with the goal of finding interesting resting positions in each that I can pose in. This type of exercise is valuable to help students really understand, master, and appreciate material that they’ve learned, and exploring climbs can lead to many new variations and new transitions as well. We always feel like climbing should be interesting, and when climbing looks like choreography then all the better.

This video goes over my discoveries so that you can use them as a starting point for your own explorations.
