The Middle Straddle Climb is a challenging version of a straddle climb on aerial silks. Getting a solid knee pinch can be much trickier in this climb than in a Same Side Climb or an Opposite Side Climb, so we only teach this climb to our experienced aerial silk students once they’re feeling strong and solid with the easier versions of a straddle up knee hook climb.
This teaching tutorial covers tips to prevent sliding and to alternate sides efficiently when climbing aerial silks with the Middle Straddle Climb.
