Opposite Side Back Balance is an inverted wrapped skill that we teach our intermediate level aerial silk students right after they learn how to put on an Opposite Side Wrap.

This is a beautiful skill that’s fairly simple to get into and hold, and the exit is great for building strength, endurance, and understanding of how the fabric wraps behave.

Because it can be easy to get lost during the exit for students new to the skill, we wait until students have a strong Straddle Up in the Air before teaching inverted wrapped skills like this one from a step off of the ground.
