Pull Ups are the best exercise most new students can work on to improve their aerial work in general. But, achieving a pull-up is challenging for many and fortunately aerial silks gives us a lot of options for working on supported variations of pull ups. This video shows several supported variations of pull-ups that we’ve found really useful to help master the alignment and engagement needed for a successful pullup.
Working on pull ups makes all aerial skills easier, including climbs and inversion and many transitions. It can take many adults some time to achieve their first full pull up and working on smart progressions and variations can speed up that process.
