Seated Straddle is an exciting skill for new students, and it leads to so many places we consider it an important foundation. We teach Seated Straddle in our beginner level curriclum after students are comfortable with Back Straddle and Crochet Leg. There are lots of details within the transitions that we think are important to help students build good aerial habits.

There are many sequences that begin from Seated Straddle, and many transitions. Seated Straddle in the Knot sets the foundation for many intermediate level skills done out of the knot, including skills like Tick Tock and Double Crucifix Double Thigh Wrap Gazelle.
