Straddle Pull-Ups are great for conditioning and we have a particular way we teach them to students who are new to them. Our technique focuses on the leg lifting action and the pull-up action equally, by isolating each action before combining them together.

This drill is an easier variation of Pretty V Climb and Pretty V Descent, and it can also lead to Arm Only Climb later on. This is a conditioning drill that we often include at the end of a class, to keep students building pull up, core, hip flexor, and leg lifting and straightening strength in a fun way.
