The Aerial Sling Back Balance from the open fabric cocoon is such a beautiful position. Because this pose is so supported it’s also a great place for aerial sling students to learn how to effectively engage into an active backbend, and it’s a great place to spend some time getting comfortable there as well. Like any Back Balance, this aerial position has the potential to be pretty intense, so when we teach it to our aerial sling students we always introduce it slowly and with a focus on strong technique. This aerial sling teaching tutorial video covers the important details that we focus on.
