The Up Down to Stand Warm Up and Conditioning Sequence on aerial sling is not that interesting to watch, but it is incredibly valuable for increasing pull up and inversion strength over time. Depending on our students and our class plan, this is a sequence that we sometimes use as a warm-up in our aerial sling classes, or sometimes it shows up as end of class conditioning.

This aerial sling sequence uses a lot of pull up actions and inversion actions, so it asks a lot of our aerial sling students grip, shoulders, and core. But this sequence on sling doesn’t require any full inversions or any full pull-ups, so it’s great for building that strength and endurance over time and for managing an aerial sling class with mixed level students. For aerial sling teachers, this sequence is easy to modify so students can build up their strength and range of motion over time.
