This Back Balance variation is one that we discovered when we were looking for ways to help our aerial silks students achieve a full Back Balance on the vertical apparatus. Back Balance is a challenging and advanced skill and using the Windstar Wrap serves a few purposes.

This aerial silks wrap makes a Back Balance easier to achieve, but it also provides a challenge in that it forces students to find the C-shaping required to hold the Back Balance when they release both hands in this version. This aerial silk skill can also end with a beautiful slow roll down the fabric to finish, or, it can simply be entered and then exited without the roll down. Our aerial silks teaching tutorial video covers progressions and important tips to help master this beautiful Windstar Back Balance variation.
