Georgia Twist is a classic entrance to a crossback straddle. It got its name because it is known for coming out of an aerial studio in Georgia. Georgia Twist is really popular because it’s a quick, direct, but also interesting entry into a Crossback Straddle.
This entrance can be very confusing to students when they’re first learning it, so we’ve developed progressions and breakdowns to help students figure it out and master it on both sides of their body. Mastering this entrance requires using the legs in a strong, smart way. This entrance also makes use of a half flamenco grip.
