Same Side and Opposite Side Knee Hook is an important skill to drill in students once they’re strong and confident with their Straddle Up inversions. This skill is a key component of many intermediate level skills including Opposite Side Climb, Same Side Climb, Same Side Wrap and many inverted wrapped skills. We introduce this skill at the beginning of our intermediate level classes and often come back to it as a troubleshooting drill for more advanced students learning more challenging skills.

It is important that students have a strong straddle up with energy to spare to find success with this drill. Drilling great technique with knee hooks sets students up for success with all the amazing skills that come after!
