Silks

This is a longer sequence that transitions smoothly between skills and wraps. When we teach our students to choreograph their own routines on aerial silks, we teach them to think about how they can hide the wraps and make the transitions look more seamless. That often means finding skills that are related to each other in some way and figuring out how to transition between them efficiently. This saves energy and it also makes a sequence look like everything belongs together. This sequence also has some crowdpleasing moments, including a crossback straddle and a forward dive, so it’s really fun to teach and to train.
