This windmill hip key drill combines an active straddle, a hollow star, and our scissor lift drills. It is the same pathway we use for a windmill hip key, and training it on the ground has helped many students have “Ah-ha” moments up in the air.
This drill is also a great warm up for the core, including the obliques. Our more advanced students often include it in their ground warm up as a variation to a basic hollow body core warm up.
