This is one of our favorite knee hang drills for finding proper alignment. It particularly focuses on maintaining open hips while bending the knees, and uses a resistance band trapped beneath the hips for tactile/visual feedback. Many students have had breakthroughs in understanding the amount of effort needed to maintain proper knee hang alignment by using this drill.
A long resistance band of any strength is necessary for this drill. Two small balls or rolled up pairs of socks to grip behind the knees is also useful.
