This workout focuses on active recovery for aerialists. Aerialists do a lot of pulling, so this workout focuses on pushing through many different ranges of motion to work the muscles in an opposing way.

This workout also includes mobility work and stretching, and it’s great for any aerialist looking to keep their body healthy and strong and prevent injuries down the road.

Props needed:

  • Yoga mat or similar soft surface
  • Foam roller or similar
  • Mobility tool or similar (lacrosse ball, tennis ball, peanut, etc)
  • 2 yoga blocks or thick sturdy books or similar
  • 2 Light dumbbells or similar (5 lbs or less…can be water bottles, soup cans, etc…lighter is better)
  • Dowel or similar (broomstick, umbrella, etc)
  • Flat raised surface like a sofa, coffee table, bench, etc
