Finger flicking helps warm up the smaller muscles of the fingers and hands that will be working hard to grip the apparatus. Vigorous movement helps increase blood flow to the fingers in preparation for aerial work. Finger “grabbing” also helps warm up the grip and wake up the muscles of the forearms. We include a variation of these in nearly all of our classes as part of the pre-training warm up.
