Back Arabesque with the hoop touching the inner thigh on Aerial Hoop is a stylish skill and we use this shape to prepare students for stepping up to sit on the top of the hoop. This skill also introduces some of the fancy footwork we use when we are standing on the bottom bar of the hoop. We use two pathways to get our foot in position and this video will cover both variations.

Be patient with the footwork in this lyra skill. Like many skills in aerial and circus arts, it can be frustrating, but it is worth the time to get it comfortable.
