Thigh Slides on Aerial Hoop are a great fundamental movement for beginners. They can also be a great troubleshooting tool for more advanced students. Thigh slides serve two purposes, one purpose is to make more room for our limbs and body by sliding away from the hoop. The other purpose is the exact opposite. It is to get the hips and center of mass back up on top of the hoop.
Even though thigh slides look like a very basic skill they’re a great fundamental action that all students should be extremely familiar with and comfortable doing. They can also be a great troubleshooting drill for more advanced skills.
