Lion Sequence combines all of the most common lion transitions into one long infinite sequence. It seems like all things on aerial hoop lead to or come from a lion pose. Since the shape is so common we developed this sequence to challenge students to better understand and memorize the lion transitions.
The sequence has 6 sections. The entrance, two head tucking transitions, two belly roll transitions, two thigh pivot transitions, two roll across the back transitions, and a final transition to connect back to the starting pose. This is an infinite sequence and should end at the beginning, but with the opposite hand on the hoop so students can go immediately into the other side.
The sequence can be very confusing at first. To some extent the sequence is intended to be confusing. This forces students to keep all of the different options organized in their brains, but once each transition is mastered it is quite easy to get through the sequence.
