This one arm pull up conditioning drill is a great way to get students to build asymmetric pulling strength. It is a self-assisted drill that can be made easier or harder. Most aerialists don’t need the strength to do an actual one arm pull up, but having the ability to pull harder with one arm than the other is super valuable.

One great thing about this conditioning drill is that it is just a variation of the vine climb mount. So the conditioning drill can be done every time the student goes up to sit on the hoop and every time they come down from the hoop. Students who can be disciplined about adding this to their mount will make amazing strength gains.
