The Sneaky Inversion Sequence on Aerial Hoop is a teaching sequence we came up with to sneak some inversion conditioning into an entertaining sequence. We often try to trick our students into getting stronger. We don’t trick our students deceitfully or underhandedly, what we mean by this is we get them to build strength while they are enjoying themselves. This is similar to the idea that most of us might be reluctant to run laps, but we would willingly run around a park chasing a ball, a frisbee or a dog.
The Sneaky Inversion Sequence actually has four different levels of difficulty. This tutorial will cover the two easier variations. You can find the other two harder variations in the Sneaky Inversion Sequence: Harder tutorial. All of the variations are very similar, the transitions just require progressively more and more strength, which means this sequence can work really well with multi-level classes. All of the students will be working on the same skills, but with different focuses.
