Varecrigh on the bottom bar, which we just as often call low varecrigh, started as a progression to help teach the much more difficult Varecrigh from the top bar. We enjoyed the bottom bar version so much that we made it its own skill in our Aerial Hoop Curriculum. This Low Varecrigh is very similar to an outside mermaid, and it could be argued that it is just an outside mermaid variation.
Varecrigh is a word that we made up and it has stuck with us. It does take a little explanation. If you would like to hear where the word came from, then watch until the end of this video.
