The Bomb Drop to Finity Dive or Mission Impossible Sequence on aerial silks is a combo that includes two drops and a unique transition with a beautiful resting pose at the end. This aerial silks sequence starts in a hip key and finishes in a lock off with the fabrics split. So this combo could also be used as the middle of a longer sequence for a full choreography on silks. This sequence can include either the Finity Dive or the Mission Impossible, and our aerial silks teaching tutorial video for this sequence includes both options.

When we teach sequences in our aerial silks classes we always teach the skills in isolation first, because that way our aerial silk students will know direct entries and exits from each move, and they’ll have a chance to really master each move. Then when they learn sequences it typically gets them thinking about what other possibilities might exist.

And that is how we encourage our aerial students to think for themselves and learn to create their own routines on aerial silks. They become so familiar with the skills that when they learn them in a combo they see how it works and they’re inspired to think about what else might also work. The sequences we teach are more of a starting point for our students own explorations and thoughts. We always hope our students will be inspired to create instead of just copy.
